Starlink Installers NZ

The process

How it works, and why the order matters.

Most Starlink problems in New Zealand are not hardware problems. They are sequence problems: the wrong kit ordered, the wrong mount for the site, or an install booked before anyone looked at the property.

  1. 1. Tell us about your property

The quote form asks about your address, buildings, roof, trees and wind exposure. It takes about two minutes. These are the same questions a good installer would ask on the phone, so answering them upfront means the first conversation is already useful.

  2. 2. Talk before you buy

If you have not ordered your kit yet, that is the best possible timing. The right package and mount depend on your property, and Starlink's checkout will not warn you about an exposed ridgeline or a shed 60 metres from the house. A short conversation with a local installer gets the order right the first time. Our package guide covers the basics.

  3. 3. The install

A professional install typically runs $400 to $500: a proper mount for your wind zone, a tidy weatherproof cable run, the router placed where WiFi actually reaches, and the system confirmed working before the installer leaves. Bigger jobs, like coverage across multiple buildings, are quoted for what they are.

Coming soon

The waiting-for-the-kit problem

You order Starlink, then the kit takes weeks to arrive, and scheduling an installer around an unpredictable courier is on you. We are building a service that manages that gap: reserve your installer when you order, and the booking confirms itself when your kit lands. If you want it, say so in the quote form notes and you will be first to hear.
